Here’s the short version of how Manny got into this line of work: His obsession with hip hop as a kid led him to study graffiti, which made him think differently about letters and typography. Eventually, he learned he could use a magical program called Adobe Photoshop to put his friends’ heads on other people’s bodies. Not long after that, he decided to go all in and earn a degree in graphic design from Drexel University.
Since then, Manny has done branding work, UX design, motion graphics, and more for Inphantry, PerkStreet Financial, Everest Gaming, and Nokia. He’s always seeking simplicity in his work. “When I can get to a place where things are intuitive, useful, and look good, I’m happy,” says Manny. While he’s easygoing and a self-described introvert, Manny has had some larger-than-life moments. Three of his original beats played on Cartoon Network’s [adult swim], and some of his work was displayed at San Diego Comic-Con.
There’s a good chance Manny is hungry right now. In his spare time, you can find him eating all the things, playing video games, watching the Celtics, and discovering new and old music.
