Alex always strives to create an optimal experience, whether he’s rearranging the furniture in his hotel room or helping people at Mad*Pow solve design problems.
Raised by architects, Alex sums up the view of the world he inherited: “Your environment is modular and functionally optimizable, especially when it comes to space and objects.” That explains the furniture rearranging. It also explains why Alex has dedicated his career to learning and managing design-related work. Alex has worked on ecommerce and digital experiences for companies like Karmaloop and Converse, and he spent some time in London working for Microsoft Advertising. Wherever he is, what stays with Alex is his calm, steady approach.
With so many projects under his belt, Alex counts raising his daughter as his central achievement. He goes offline to read nonfiction about politics, culture, and social psychology. Alex rides his bike in the summer, skis in the winter, and always enjoys cranking up the music and going for a drive.
