Driven by a persistent resolve to solve problems both intelligently and beautifully, Scott is a VP who divides his time between the experience and visual design teams.
With over a decade of varied roles in interactive design, focusing on e-commerce and experience design, Scott has most recently transformed the web design team at the Timberland Company from performing primarily e-commerce production jobs, to a full-service group with expertise ranging from online marketing and e-commerce to interactive storytelling through online brand marketing campaigns. Under his direction, the team won two In-House Agency Design Awards in 2009.
Along with directing his team, for the past eight months Scott has also led the global redesign of Timberland.com, including leading all initial stakeholder research, usability and user research, constructing the information architecture, drawing up wireframes, designing the e-commerce user interface and consulting with development to ensure a smooth launch slated for later this year.
Before his time at Timberland, Scott led the web design group at Bose, laying the groundwork for interactive design innovations, as well as redesigning their e-commerce site. In his early years, Scott did everything: package design, environmental graphics, and B to B websites at a two-person firm, plus some copywriting, and forward-thinking front end web development. To this day, these experiences give him a keen understanding of what it takes to produce effective interactive solutions.
When he's not in front of a computer, Scott can be found enjoying the outdoors, walking his goofy dog, Jeep, playing most sports as often as possible and sometimes slaving over a stove making killer meatballs and sauce.
