Established by New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan, the STEM Education Task Force is focused on helping New Hampshire students develop skills and critical thinking needed for success in the innovation economy. Mad*Pow Senior Vice President Buck Beaudoin was named to the task force in July 2015, and has played a key role in helping to develop a digital end-deliverable for the project which is scheduled to go live in the Fall.

“Mad*Pow is honored to be a part of New Hampshire’s STEM Education Task Force, which is comprised of people who are passionate about providing improved STEM education resources to students,” says Buck Beaudoin, Senior Vice President, Creative Director at Mad*Pow. “This initiative is designed to benefit students, teachers and businesses, with the ultimate goal of providing innovative STEM education and keeping highly-skilled students in New Hampshire after graduation to meet the growing employment demands of tech companies like Mad*Pow.”

Mad*Pow is playing a key “behind the scenes” role in New Hampshire’s STEM initiative. The task force is developing a web site as a resource for parents, students and teachers seeking STEM content and activities.

Government, education, technology and business leaders from around the New Hampshire have joined the Governor’s Task Force on STEM Education to create a plan to improve STEM education, providing more hands-on learning opportunities for students. Improved STEM education has the added benefit of fostering an educated workforce for the New Hampshire business and technology community. The Task Force is executing this plan with the goal of making New Hampshire schools and students more competitive in the 21st century economy. The group aims to inspire students through competition and motivate them with project-based learning, as well as empower teachers by providing a broad spectrum of educational opportunities.
