Fresh New Web Site for a Fresh New Brand

Pilgrim Quality, a pioneer in quality management software, was in the process of updating its brand. The company approached Mad*Pow to re-design its web site to reflect the new brand, and to improve the site’s functionality as an inbound marketing tool. We delivered a fully functional web site with improved performance, content and a new look that supported the client’s new branding as a sophisticated technology company.

Responsive Design

Pilgrim Quality’s previous web site looked dated, contained extraneous content and did not function properly on mobile devices, making it difficult to utilize inbound marketing to convert mobile site users. Mad*Pow started the re-design process by creating design concepts that we shared with top client stakeholders to help them understand how their new brand would be reflected in the new design. After defining the design template, we presented our ideas for the site’s functionality — how individual pages would look and work. We then developed and deployed a fully functional responsive web site that works just as well on mobile devices as it does on desktop computers. 

Easier Management

The client’s previous website was developed in Joomla. After guiding the client through the process of evaluating other customer management systems (CMS), we recommended that they stay with and update their current Joomla instance,to avoid content migration costs and make the site more stable and easier to manage. We created site performance baselines and goals for client executives and trained the marketing group on inbound marketing methodologies so they could make best use of the site’s improved functionality. Plus, we provided ongoing support and enhancements to carry on this success.

Results Analysis

Pilgrim Quality executives were interested in finding an easy way to analyze the results of the site’s inbound marketing function, so we developed reporting templates they could use. Results showed improved page load speeds and site performance, as well as significant improvements to the site’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In fact, mobile page load speeds shrunk from 11.87 seconds to 2.88 seconds, and traffic to the site from search engines increased from roughly 600 visitors a month to more than 2,000 per month.
