Demonstrating the Effectiveness of a Population Insight Tool
Health Dialog is a leading provider of healthcare management, analytics, and support programs that cater to over 17 million subscribers worldwide. An industry leader in improving healthcare quality, Health Dialog specializes in helping its clients – insurance providers – develop effective health care management strategies that address rising medical costs and an ever-changing healthcare system.
Mad*Pow teamed up with Health Dialog to create an informative demo for their Population Insight Tool. This product, which promotes health awareness, also assesses risk factors and cost analysis strategies specific to the healthcare industry. The goal was simple: to create a compelling interactive demo that showcases the features and functions of the tool to promote product awareness and generate leads for Health Dialog.
The demo itself allows the client to be engaged in the process. The direction is effective and streamlined and allows complex industry information to be easily accessed and understood. And unlike many demos that simply play without any user interaction or direction, users navigate through this demo using a series of drop windows.
As they proceed through the demo, users get a feel for what the tool can do. It allows them to manipulate member specific data sets, navigate through the population grid and classify information by specific detail. The interactive graphs and contrast of colors allow the user to effectively explore Health Dialog’s Population Insight tool through a sample subscriber population representing 1.5+ million members.
Throughout the development of the demo, storyboarding was used as a means to streamline the process and bring the concept to life. Health Dialog knew exactly what they wanted the demo to do and how they planned to use it with potential customers. By implementing engaging visual design concepts, reworking the existing information architecture and integrating video into the demo, Mad*Pow made Health Dialog’s vision a reality.
The highly collaborative process of this project correlates beautifully to the holistic experience the tool delivers. The Population Insight Tool demo was well received and is due to be launched at the end of 2011.
